The Icelandic horse 101
The Icelandic horse 101 is a crash course about the Icelandic horse.
You will learn about it's development, history, uniqueness, and it's place in the Icelandic culture through the centuries.
You will also get a chance to get up close and personal with our horses, you can pet them and groom them, and if you feel like it you can take one through an obstacle course in our paddock.
This class is suitable for all ages and levels of experience. There are no physical demands related to it.
This class is about 1,5 hours

5000 pr. kids from 7 to 12 years old
no charge for kids from 0-6 years old

To our knowledge there isn't another class like this available. You'll get deeper understanding of the Icelandic horse from a person who has lived with them almost all her life, sharing both historical knowledge as well as personal anecdotes.

The Icelandic horse is gentle in nature. It comes in a wide variety of colors, but what makes it unique among horses is that it has five gates, walk, trot, tolt, gallop and pace.
