Country days

We have long wanted to invite guests to visit and enjoy what we have to offer. Now we are going to make this happen and
we'll be open two days a week in July.

What will be available?

You will be able to pet and groom the horses. You can also sit on a horse and be led through an opsticle course in the paddock. Those who want can borrow a mini-bailer and a jar to catch little fishes in nearby ponds.

What is the price?

A participation stamp costs ISK 1500. and parents accompanying their children
do not have to pay for themselves.
It should be noted that children are always the responsibility of their parents and
we expect younger children to be supervised.

At the moment we can only accept payments in cash.

When can I visit?

  • Saturday, July 8 from 14:00-17:00

  • Thursday, July 13 from 15:00-18:00

  • Thursday, July 20 from16:00- 18:00

  • Saturday, July 22 from 14:00-17:00

  • Thursday, July 27 from 15:00-18:00

  • Saturday 29 July from 14:00-17:00

Do I need to make a reservation?

No, you do not need to make a reservation if you want to come,
just show up during opening hours.

If the weather is good, you can bring snacks and a blanket
and go on a picnic in the field.

Is there anything I need to consider?

It is usually colder in Baugsstaðir than in the surrounding towns, so we recommend that people bring warm clothes with them.

Also, many people have accidentally gotten wet while fishing, so it's not a bad idea to have spare pants, socks, and even shoes.
